I am a big fine non-binary artist, activist, philanthropist, and spiritual powerhouse that specializes in body devotion, and creative expression to support personal pleasure, autonomy, and authentic leadership everywhere we are. I have over 10 years experience in the reproductive and economic justice movements. I specialize in supporting people tap into their intuitive power to cultivate a nourishing life and work environment that affirms our power and inner knowing.
For over 10 years, self-determination and bodily autonomy have been the core values I center when working with arts organizations, grant makers, and community based organizations to create viable plans and tangible goals. I am the Co-Founder and Co-Director of a Black art and Spirituality brand called The Madams of Excellence that works to nurture our ancestral legacies through art, magic, inspirational products, programs, and productions to support our people on their journeys back to themselves. This intentional work has birthed The Sweet Magnolia Fund which is a mutual aid program with a mission to provide opportunities for Black LGBTQIA+ & Femme artists to further their artistic development to advance an inclusive and vibrant arts community as well as cultural shift in Mississippi. My current body of work is influenced by my time as the Organizational Development Manager at the National Network of Abortion funds where I contributed to the development of new and existing funds for 90+ member organizations with one-on-one training, operational skill sharing like budgeting and fundraising, and support deep infrastructure and peer-to-peer collaboration toward
abortion funding service delivery.
I merge my knowledge and skills of community organizing, popular education, and culture to create innovative possibility models, tangible operations practices, and dream salons to support folks live out liberation right now wherever they are in their personal and professional journeys. The more honest we are about our goals, the desires for how we want achieve them, and the actual capacity we have to show up to achieve them, the more successful we can be! This holistic approach allows us to move beyond the fragmented avatars we acquire by way of capitalism. I allow our collective intuitions to lead how we imagine new system that will nourish us presently and also influence future generations. That awareness allows everything we create to be as refreshing as a cool glass of water on a muggy Summer day. That's why I chose "Cooling Water" as the name of this consulting firm because innovators not only deserve their own inspiration, but also relief from societal pressure, oppressive working conditions they may have once created for themselves and systemic conditions that have been dictated to us.
Affectionately dubbed “Da King of the South,”I create multifaceted propaganda and wellness practices that promote healing and celebration for and with Black people across the gender & survivor spectrum. My musings have led to 2 podcasts (The Black Joy Mixtape and Stitcher Premium’s Culture Genius), a Tedx talk, and an article about Southern urban cooperatives to name a few. I have been featured in ESSENCE, Teen Vogue, and New York Times Bestseller,The Body Is Not an Apology, Second Edition: The Power of Radical Self-Love by Sonya Renee Taylor
I am the Founder and Magnification Director of Praise & Twerkship, I draw upon her own research and lived experiences as a trauma survivor and fat person to teach self devotional practices, connection, and joy through the sacred practice of twerk.
